Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

  • Quantity Surveyor with responsibility for the cost management of a project or projects on a diverse range of multi-million projects in a growing organisation.
  • Liaise closely with the Senior QS, Commercial Manager & Site Management to achieve successful cost management outcomes
  • Project procurement including issuing tender packages, evaluation of sub-contract costs, value engineering, negotiation and placing of sub-contract packages in line with the cost & contract programmes
  • Change Order management – identify changes, assessment of cost implications and agreement of Change Orders
  • Valuations, re-measurement, and final accounts
  • Pre-Tender Estimating – the candidate will be encouraged to support and assist in the key principles of estimating and will support the Commercial Manager with the estimation function. Experience in this area is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Ability to become a key player in the organisation with scope to influence the development of the commercial function

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience working with a Main Contractor or in Private Practice
  • Enthusiastic, motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals
  • Buildsoft / Cubit experience an advantage

Project Planner – Letterkenny

As a Project Planner, you will play a key role in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and maintain detailed project schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using [software, e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
  • Identify potential delays and provide solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Generate progress reports and provide insights to senior management.
  • Support resource allocation and workload planning.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner in Construction
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Due to expanding growth Boyle Construction are seeking an Office Administrator to join our team.  The role will be full time based in our head office in Letterkenny. The working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • General office administration duties, managing telephone calls and messages.
  • Posting purchase invoices and maintaining creditors payments.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing Monthly returns
  • Processing subcontractor’s payments and RCT returns.
  • Processing employee payroll using Sage.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in use of SAGE payment software.
  • Experience in the Construction Industry would be an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals
  • Fully confident with all aspects of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be punctual and reliable

  • Supervision of the construction on site
  • Ability to deliver project on time and to perfection
  • Produce accurate, consistent and professional records, reports and general information
  • Maintaining site diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities
  • Delivering the project to the highest of quality & completed on time, within the budget
  • To carry out the role of company representation on site and to interface between the company and client
